Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural household. Born in South London. She's English as well as her father is Nigerian. She was born and lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career began in the series Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion-picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. She also had the opportunity to play the role as Bambi on The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the episodes two and three. Madekwe also starred as the main character on How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen to play Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that she would depart the series following an appearance as a guest in the pilot episode in the season's third. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe, her longtime partner, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he is also a part of the cast on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She danced. So when she was just 2 1/2 years old, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered a love for dancing when she began the Baby Ballet. Until she graduated from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the title "top individualist".
